In The Works

February and March proved to be very busy months for everyone on the base. We have so many things in the works; so many new projects in progress. We had a lot of heavy rains the end of February and beginning of March which resulted in the near collapse of our wooden water tower. A new concrete water tower is almost finished and we can hardly wait to have reliable running water again!

We also have a cover being built for our flatbed truck (caminhao). Before everyone just got sunburned or rained on, so to have a cover in the works is such a wonderful blessing. We use it so much for bush evangelism, transport of materials, and transport of people to funerals, conferences, and church events.

Our Bible School Students and our boys all received new mattresses to sleep on. Our boys also received new school uniforms and backpacks thanks to the donations of many generous people. Some of our older boys are now getting to participate in competitive soccer, where they get the chance to represent Christ through upright conduct and praying for each other before the games.

We are also working on getting our medical clinic restored, legalized, furnished, stocked, staffed, and ready for service. This one is truly a dream in the making for both the people reached by this ministry, those who work here, and those of us volunteering here.
